Socialism in the U.S.

Socialism pushes for ever-growing levels of wealth redistribution, government spending, and government ownership of the means of production. Among the more notable and influential American organizations promoting socialist ideals are the Communist Party USA, the Democratic Socialists of America, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, the Freedom Socialist Party, the Independent Progressive Politics Network, the Network of Spiritual ProgressivesProgressive America Rising, the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Young Communist League, and the Progressive Democrats of America. Groups with socialist ideals are active in a wide variety of fields, including politics, religion, environmentalism, human rights, civil liberties, civil rights, feminism, and labor unionism, to name just a few.
